A Visit to the Petrified Forest with Liz (Quest)

Since we had decided to now have Thanksgiving with my friend Milt and his family, I did not have a full day to show Liz around Northern California. We were up in wine country the day before so I decided to head back up this way and show her the Petrified Forest and Old Faithful Geyser in the morning and head back to Sacto for dinner! :D

We made good timing getting up to the forest and thank heaven they were open on the holiday! WHEW! Liz made friends with the family's cat that was wandering the grounds and we thought we were going to have our own personal tour guide for a minute! :D The tour takes about 1/2 hour to 1 hour depending on how fast you walk. Of course, we stopped everywhere to take pictures!

Wanted to get pics up now before leaving on my long trip for the holidays but will update blog later with information about forest and the other artifacts we viewed in their mini museum after the tour.
