An Evening in Reno with Liz (Quest)
After a great afternoon in Lake Tahoe, we ventured off to Reno so Liz could check out a little gambling and the casinos since we didn't have time to get her to Vegas on this visit. Reno is about 20-30 minutes past Lake Tahoe so I couldn't pass on the opportunity to take Liz up there!
We wandered around a few casinos including Circus Circus and I got her to play a couple slot machines. Need to steal those photos off her camera...ha ha. Although she didn't go to Norway a millionaire, she did triple her investment...she put in $1 and won $3. HAHA.
Eventually, we ended up at the El Dorado Casino which had beautiful fountains and a pub, Brew Brothers, which was said to be voted #1 put in America. We decided to have dinner at Brew Brothers which turned out to be a great decision.
Next we were off to look at souvenirs in the gift store while Liz held the strawberries for safe keeping! I found a cute little stuffed cow, Cornstalk (need to rename him) which came home with me. Perhaps my travel gnome for Europe? HAHA. We couldn't wait to eat the strawberries until we got home so we tried one and took a few more pics and on the road we went! The drive home was smooth...less than 2 hours and no rain or snow the whole way. Whoo Hoo!
