Bridal Veil Falls

I figured I better create a blog for all my adventures in my new home! I love living in Northern California so far as all there is to see and do up here - I can't imagine living anywhere else again...ok, except Belize of course!!! :-)) **Under construction**

Bridal Veil Falls

Another stop along Highway 50 as we head to Lake Tahoe is a waterfall literally on the busy highway.  If you blink, you will miss it!  It is located on a turn out but with all the traffic screaming by, it is easy to blow right by it.  It is estimated the waterfall is about 150 feet high although most of it is not visible from the street level.  I read somewhere that about 70 feet of it is visible to those passing by on the street.  This is definitely a seasonal waterfall as I've been during other times of the year and we could not find it - the sign was there but it was like a trickle, versus a waterfall!

I managed to figure out when it was coming up as there were two large motorhomes, one towing a boat, and a few other cars stopped so I knew it was just around the bend.  I hopped out to try and get a couple photos but with the motorhomes and other people there, I was only able to get a couple decent angles without some heads in the way! LOL
