survival part I

Of course, the truck who's gonna ride us to the delta, was to late. Again, packed like battery chickens, we drove for a little hour to reach a great grass plain. We thought. No, it was the delta already! The mkoro's lying there and the polesmen stood also ready. Ok, pack all your luggage (which was decimated by the pre-selection what to bring-what not) and put them in the 'boats''. Monique and I shared one and the oldest guy on the block was our polesmen. Unfortunaly, we did not speak any foreign language. It was a great trip for some two hours on the water. Nothing but silence. Sometimes an unknown bird, nothing more.
After raising the tents, the guides splitted up the group in four and our first game walk was born. Wow, you feel kind vulnerable walking the field with no protection at all. It was a little one, more like a warming up for the next day. Nonetheless, we saw some pretty sights.
