Sirocco in Bangkok

Bangkok Travel Blog | Travelogue | Travel Journal

Twelve friends hopped on a jet and flew to Thailand together in November 2008, now most of us agree that smaller travel groups is a far better way to go. :) Now it is April 2008 and I am here in Thailand again. I also have trips booked to come here early September and 3 weeks in November. I will probably do a side trip back to Viet nam as well. Check out this link for the most spectactular restaurant in the world. Sirocco in Bangkok. http://www.thedomebkk.com/web/sirc_home.html

Trust me when I say this is probably the most spectacular restaurant in the world. I know that is a big statement however until somebody shows me a better one, this is it.

Take the elevator to the 64th floor of the Dome then I guarantee your first look at the setting will take your breath away.

Sure it is expensive but the food is magnificent and the view stunning.

Go to the website and see for yourself, my dinner consisted of Lobster bisque followed by Fois Gras, finishing with a beautiful seafood salad. All washed down with a Cabinet Sauvignon from Australia.

I forgot to mention the two Jack Daniels and soda at the amazing bar that makes you feel you are suspended on the edge of this magnificent sky scraper.

It's great! I've seen it from the other side of the Chao Praya. I was staying in the Hilton for few night's. On my next trip to Bangkok I will go to Sirocco. I've heard many story's, even from friend's, that it is great. I had to leave it this time, because my budget was spend in the Hilton.;D
By the way, also a stunning view and great food.
Greetings from Holland.
