Day 14 ... our last full day in Loy Fa, Koh Phangan

Our scooters .... that took us safely?? around the island

We spent today, our last day in Loy Fa just relaxing ... before taking to traveling again. It was also a day to catch up on washing ..... which i gave to the Laundry service in Loy Fa - instead of me attempting hand washing again!!

I took the last photos of the area, some of the things we had missed during our exploring days on the island, and just some stuff we kept putting off and off. We went across to the beach on the far side of the penninsula that looked amazing ... to get to it we had to cross through the little fishing port boat mooring area and through what was some of the fishermens houses/huts. They dont really spend too long there I suppose so the poor condition of some of the houses probably didn't bother them .... but it was an eye opener compared to all the tourist accomodation that surrounded the little port.

We spent the few hours indoors out of the sun ... packing, and trying to re-organise our backpacks... you actually get better at re-organising it the longer you are away.... you start organising your things for the following day and place them in convenient places in the backpack and then just burying the stuff you dont really need to the bottom of the bag.

We did however pickup a few other little things so the bags are getting much fuller .... but that is to be expected I suppose

We had our last meal in Loy Fa that night, and had a few relaxing beers. We brushed up on our snooker/pool skills for a while before we had a game of 'foozeball'.

After the first game we wondered why we hadn't done this before .

A coconut tree on the beach .. well they were everywhere!
.... it was great craic ... expecially after a few beers ....

Caroline got very competitive at it .... and started to get very excited playing it ... she was spinning the foozeball player poles at some tremendous speeds .... not even knowing where the ball was or which player was meant to hit it ... I'll admit some times it did pay off ...... but there were many others where it didn't ... especialy when she thought it was Gaelic football and not soccer ... as she launched the ball straight out of the table .... she was throwing it back in after a goal and was 'spinning' her midfielders  ... and one of them onected with the ball even before it bounced in the table ... it went under the fridge ... and it took us about 10 minutes to get it out again .

A local fisherman ... fishing away when the big boats in the background are all moored up because of the weather
... well .. i though this was enough time for her to cool down!!

When we got back to playing the game ... after finding the ball ..... we swapped sides ...and within about 5 minutes of the restart ... she again fired the ball straight out of the tale ... this timewe weren't as lucky as the ball bouced across the floor .... and out of the common area ... boucing down teh steps at teh frontof the area ..andinto the greenery just before the beach!!!

I spent about 5 minutes looking for it with a torch but gave up in the end up ... conceeding that it was probably best to stop the foozebal before anybody got injured ... lol !!!

We took our drinks over to our own balcony to save Caroline the embarrassement of looking across at the owner after loosing his foozeball ball, finished our drinks and savoured the end of stay in Loy Fa!
