§ Cherating beach
§ Kemasik beach
Beach in the nearby town of Kemaman, the wind is strong here - rough for swimming but nice and windy for watching sunsets.
Beach front resort at Kijal, didnt stay here but went there to sit by the beach side
Public holiday and no reservations is not a good combination, as we found out the hard way. We were lucky on Christmas 06 but unfortunately not this time, the chalet that we wanted to stay inn was fully booked, as well as few others that we asked. We managed to get a room at another resort but it’s not clean and comfortable and we didnt like the bath - Beybi even found a 'monitor lizard' staring at him from inside the toilet bowl, luckily it wasnt us girls using it! As the resort was on the other side of the road, it didn’t feel like we’re at the beach, however there is a nice bar for drinks by the river and party after.
Fortunately, the hotel for the second night was much better and clean. Our chalet was by the beach, and we get to do what we came here for • sun, surf and sleep, with chats over drinks in between, with sea breeze in my face and views of the ocean all the way to the horizon..
