Ifrane

We then made a stop in the picturesque village of Ifrane. The French created Ifrane in 1929 and some say it has a distinctly French Alps feel to it. The houses here were completely different from any of the houses I had seen in Morocco so far.  We noticed that alot of the houses were empty with no one occupying them during that time.  Mustafa went on to explain that alot of the homes were actually vacation homes for those of substantial financial means in Morocco.  They reminded me of chalets and houses you would see here in the northeast coast of the United States.
