The end of our journey in Tangier (from l to r back row) Mustafa (The Bloke), Bel, Mel, Jade, Becc, Me, Achraf, Kate (from l to r seated) Ana, Bronwyn, Helen, Margaret, Miranda & Sue (thank you Helen for sending this copy to me)

My last morning in Morocco.  Had my last breakfast with the group early that morning. After breakfast Bronwyn and I went back to our room to get our gear as we were the first ones that had to leave for the airport that morning.  We all met in the lobby to say our goodbyes and more picture taking. I have included a couple that Margaret and Helen were nice enough to send me. Believe me, one of the first things I pack on my next trip will be my converter.

It was hard saying goodbye to all the girls, Bronwyn, Kate, Miranda, Rebecca and Jade, who started the journey with me in Tangier. Then, Margaret, Ana, Sue, Helen, Mel and Bel, who went on to continue their journey for a few more days until they too had to leave in Casablanca.

I was so lucky and happy to have shared this wonderful journey with such a great group of women.  They just made this trip even more special.

Then it was time to say goodbye to our "Bloke" Mustafa and Achraf, two of the sweetest and most compassionate men I've met. As I hugged them both, they both wished me a long life full of love, health and happiness. I am so glad that Mustafa was our tour leader in the end on this trip. His knowledge, obvious love and pride of his country, his kindness, and especially his patience with his twelve flaming sheilas, made my trip a wonderful and most memorable experience. It is an experience that I will always treasure. Through his eyes and his words, he has shown me the beauty of Morocco and its people, and for that I say shukran.  As for Achraf, I will miss his smile, his shyness, his laughter, his sometimes crazy driving, and his patience with the twelve flaming sheilas.

All too soon, our taxi arrived to take us to the airport. They all walked Bronwyn and I outside and watched as Achraf walked us to the taxi and helped us load our gear in the trunk. As we drove by, they were all standing there waving goodbye... but to me it's not goodbye, it's until we meet again...
