For a very long time, I had dreamed of travelling to Morocco, land of the Kasbahs and the blue men of the desert. This past October, I finally had the chance to make my dream come true by visiting this wonderful country so full of contrasts, vibrant colors, mountains, deserts, and wonderful people. For me, the journey was magic...

I was a little tired after my "adventures" in Chefcahouen so ending up dozing off for a bit on the bus.  We finally arrived, after taking several detours, at the Hotel Chellah in Tangier. Poor Achraf, there were so many one way streets, and so much traffic, he was starting to get frustrated until we finally made it to the hotel.  We ended up backing up the one-way street where the hotel was located.  We checked in to the hotel and by that time I was starting to feel a little under weather, my throat was feeling a little sore, and I was actually starting to lose my voice a bit.  Great, on my last night in Morocco, of course, :-)

We had a wonderful time at dinner that evening, drank some wine and then after dinner went upstairs to the lobby and drank some more. There was quite a bit of picture taking as for six of us the journey would end the following morning.  Below I have included a picture, which my tourmate and a fellow travbuddy member, Margaret, was kind enough to send me.

As I was still feeling a bit under the weather, I said my goodnights and went upstairs to finish packing and went to sleep, thinking how blessed that my dream of visiting Morocco actually became a reality, and yet still felt like a dream...
