Now it took at 3 hours to travel along 40km of road to get to this town after already half a day of you can imagine the quality of the roads in these central highlands. It was totally worth it. It is a nice break to get back into the highlands, and to dust off our jackets which haven´t been worn for the past month or two.

We embraced one of the many tourist-minded attractions that Costa Rica has to offer. This is one country set-up for travellers, due to it´s close proximity to North American. We decided to go on a Zip Line tour through the canopy of the Monteverde cloud forest...yep, we definately appreciated nature from a different angle and speed ;-)

The day after we decided a change pace was required.  We strolled down to the local frog sanctuary for an extremely informative overview of just how hard it is to be green (or brown, red, black, blue.....).  As off the wall as we might sound, we even went back again that night to see them in their nocturnal environment.
