The end of my bed with my breakfast and luggage @ Wombat's Hostel The Base, Vienna
After a very much failed attempt of getting up early we went to get ready for a day in the city. This is when the picture with the apple was taken, I never have breakfast really but I was trying to do a healthy thing by atleast eating an apple. That mission failed also since I didn’t eat in any further than it shows in the pic. Again we were off to the metro and again things went horribly wrong wich wouldnt be so bad if Sanne would not be so sick during travelling. Every time we entered a moving object she would turn white as snow.
I felt so sorry for her since we got on the wrong metro’s all the time. We finally found our way to Karlsplatz and it was very cool there. We saw the Opera house, St. Stephans church and some other very pretty buildings. Ofcourse we also went shopping since that is just what we girls do best. We saw some street artist who got a fine by the police for playing in the street. The whole crowd was against the policeofficer but luckily he understood and he was writing the ticket but at the same time appologizing to the crowd. This is what I like about this trip we just saw and did so many funny things! We went shopping some more after this and Sanne found herself this crazy hat wich was fur-like and very warm. It looked so funny on her and from the moment she bought it she wore it everywhere. Then something really funny happened again. We actually ran into a big demonstration against fur. Hahahaha Manon and me were again almost dying.
Busy street corner, Karlsplatz
I thought I was never going to get out of it anymore. This guy came up to talk to us and she just pulled of the hat immediatley. I felt her hand in my bag to hide the hat haha. She talked to the guy in Sanne-Style. Wich means: just yell stuff in Dutch at him and see if it works. The guy even gave her some brochures to spread out and asked us to walk with them. It was so funny. Sanne gave one of the brochures to a busdriver :). For our standards it was quite an active day we had. We went back to the hostel to have pizza at the wombar. This turned out to be the best night ever. We had so much fun with the barguys. We all drank a lot I must say and had a lot of fun. At one point Sanne even got us into trouble with some bet and I found myself dancing on the bar. It’s not very strange to do so for Sanne but it is for me.

So when Manon came back from the restroom she almost fainted when she saw me. That evening we met so many nice people. Karen from Canada, Olivier, Werner, Christian & Christopher and a lot of others from who I don’t remember their names! Shame on me! After exchanging e-mail adresses and having a lot more drinks, Sanne & Manon went to sleep and I was going to stay over at Stefan’s house. I was very excited about seeing where he lives. I met Stefan many years ago on a vacation in Spain. We just kept in touch over the years so it was good to see him again. His house was very nice! I like the houses in Vienna, they all have high ceilings and high doors. Very pretty and very different from Dutch houses really! Big open spaces and very light spaces, the houses were just very pretty! We just slept (Don’t worry I was a good girl during the whole trip!) off the alcohol and got up early the next morning.
