Almere, very cool

Almere is one of The Netherlands newest cities. There is some great architecture and interesting things about this city. The gov reclaimed this land from the sea. Yes, the drained the sea and put up some sort of levees to get the land to build on. I know, I think its crazy too. This city has some of the most interesting and modern architecture though! Their garbage system was even cool. If you put trash into any of the cities garbage cans on the street it gets vacuumed into an underground system and get seperated for recycling. I was super exhausted this day so I didn't stay very long. I think I was even falling alseep during the presentation from one of the city's planners. lol.
