Sign over a recycling toilet in Vermont. It didn't flush...bubbles just came down the bowl...
After the warning phone call I received from one of my cousins, I was expecting to drive into Vermont and be surrounded by piles of snow. That wasn't the case...

The ride from Syracuse, NY to Ferrisburgh, VT (where one of my cousins lives) started off very snowy, then changed to some hail, maybe a little sleet and then it was just gone. No precipitation whatsoever. I figured that maybe it would pick up again as I drove through the Adirondacks...nope. Maybe when I got closer to Lake Champlain? Nope. Hmmm...what about when I crossed the bridge over Lake Champlain? Nope...not then either. OK, it'll be snowing when I head north towards Burlington. Yeah, not the case there either. In fact, when I got to Ferrisburgh, there wasn't even a sign that there had been a decent amount of snow. The roads were completely dry and there were no white piles anywhere.

Where was it snowing? Apparently, it was snowing in Burlington, just 20 minutes north of Ferrisburgh. My cousin, Eli, who I was meeting up with in Ferrisburgh had gone to pick up a friend, Tamara, at around 6:15pm...I got to Ferrisburgh at around 6:40pm. I gave him a call, he said he should be back within the next 1/2 hour-45 minutes. Apparently there was a blizzard going on up north. He got back to Ferrisburgh around 8:30pm. Kind of insane...but anyway, in the meantime, I hung out in my car, listening to music, at a Mobile station on the corner of one of the streets that leads to his house. At one point, I went in to use the bathroom and found a recycling toilet...very interesting. Who knew they made those?
