Happy Birthday to me...

Today was a Sunday and my final day in Ljubljana so I anticipated a fairly quiet day.  The city was deserted so I just wondered.  I went to see a Roman wall on the outskirts of the city plus I took a look at the "Dragon Bridge" in the centre.

By the time I was ready to go up to Ljubljana castle the weather was getting really bad and the snow heavy.  The view is meant to be amazing from the top of the castle on a clear day but I thought I would go up anyway.  The castle itself was quite spectacular but I only got a glimpse of what the view could be like on a good day.  I tried to get some photo's but they aren't that great.

Spent the rest of the day reading and walking around.  Had a late dinner in a Pizza place somewhere but decided as the town was quiet and I had an early start I should go to bed.

Today was also my Birthday - Spending it alone meant the day passed without any real celebration aside from the odd text which was nice.

In summary I would definately come to Ljubljana again.  However I would come during the week next time.  The weekends are busy enough to have fun but after seeing how busy it can be on a Monday morning when everyone comes back it could, I imagine be even more fun.

Austria tomorrow.  Anyone know the train times??
