Sunset at Storlien

Winter sun

In wintertime the days seems short in Northern Europe and especially in Norway, because of late sunrise and the early sunset.

In November the sun rise about 08.00 and set about 16.00, and in December the sunrise is as late as 09.00 and sunset as early as 14.30.

In the land of the Vikings, we enjoy and celebrate the sun.   We have the shortest day 22 of December and the longest 21 of June.

As the time between sunrise and sunset in wintertime is so short we really enjoy the few hour of sunshine.

Take a look at my photos from the last weekend, and I`m sure you understand what I mean.
