Back in Hong Kong

It was a bit weird to be back in Hong Kong for just one day. We've both really enjoyed Japan but Hong Kong feels much more familiar and it was nice to have it a bit easier. We are only back for one day so we had a few bits of 'housekeeping' to do. Post office was the first stop to send home souvenirs of Japan, the post office was empty which a new experience, in the UK they are chock a block with welfare claimants picking up their handouts!!
We took a tram ride along the HK Island side trying to find the hostel Adam stayed in when he was working in HK years ago, lots of dried fish shops along the way which makes for a very aromatic ride. Later we took the Star ferry across to Tsim Sha Tsui and strolled through Kowloon park before jumping ion the MTR heading for the Wong Tai Sin temple.
Back near the station there is a shopping centre and right by the entrance we stumbled on the Perfect Vegetarian Restaurant. Talk about building up the customers expectations! Although it was very good I think perfect is going a bit far (See separate review).
After lunch we headed back to Kowloon park to enjoy the weather and relax from our hectic schedule for a bit. We decided we deserved a pint so wandered into a bar which was open onto the street and didn't realise that it was a dodgy semi-brothel until we'd ordered our pints. Needless to say they were quick pints indeed. Oh! a message for all the western guys being fawned over by the hookers - you know how sad you are and you were right to feel ashamed.
After that we decided to head back buy a few beers for the room and perform the packing ritual.
