The days in Sydney were great! I still love that city so much!

The first day we just wanted to go into the city and have a look around and enjoy the relaxed atmosphere at Circular Quay. Of course, we went for a homemade lemonade (that's tradition.....gaell Betti)! However, the city skyline hasn't changend much. There is a new, quite nice building.....or maybe one or two more....but the size of the city is still about the same.

On Thursday, we went to Darling Harbour. There are a lot more Restaurants there and there is a Wildlife Center next to the Aquarium. As we didn't have enough time, we decided to visit the center the next day.

After checking out some shops at the Rocks, we went to the Wildlife Center. Inside there are all different kind of Australian native animals like spiders, snakes, kangaroos, koalas.

The next day, we went up the tower (strangly, it is not called AMP Tower anymore how it used to be 4 years ago)....well not only we change... The view was quite amazing! After that we went to the new opened 3D cinema room where they show a film about Australia. That was like on a rollercoaster as the seats move around as well! (Hard to explain....but I guess it's similar to the one in Europa Park). After that we went to the Rocks Market. Still the same....still interesting things.... In the evening, we went to the Opera House to go to a ballet. That was really good too.

On Sunday, we met Esther and Beat (they are Swiss people who migratet to Sydey in the sixties). We had a beautiful day and it was really nice to see both of them and of course their son Clint again. We went for a short walk and in the evening Esther cooked us a really really yummy meal!

Monday afternoon we went to Bondi Junction (where I've been in Englisch School 4 years ago).

First, I completly lost my orientation. I couldn't remember where the school was and as I knew they changed a lot in this area I thought you couldn't remember anymore because of this. But as I found the Zoo, which is a cafe we used to go too, everything was at the right place again. However, there are some new buildings and unfortunatly, our pub Billie's doesn't exist anymore....how sad.....Later on, we took the bus to Bondi Beach and walked to Bronti Beach. Once a year they do a sculpture exhibition on this coastal walk. We were really lucky that that was exactly in this week!

On Tuesday, we took the ferry to Manly and spent the day looking for some more souveniers. Later in the afternoon, I met Mike, a friend from Switzerland who's in school in Manly. It was really nice to see him Down Under...

Unfortunatly, time goes much too quick and on Wednesday, I already had to say goodbye to my mum and to Australia! However, in a few month I see my mum again and I definetly go back to Australia in the next few years....

Photos will follow asap...
