another wet day
I have had a fairly quiet month so there was not much to tell. Spring is finally here and it is great to see the change of season. It went from below freezing to 18° in a couple of days, that was quite a shock to all as it is usually a much more gradual change. Jade victoire and I wet outside with our tshirts it was fantastic! Now the tempurature is back to normal with temps about 10°. All the daffodils, daisy and other flowers are popping up all over the place it is very pretty, trees are slowly getting back their leaves and i have seen lots of new birds and rabbits. I have been to visit another belgium town Dinant (french) I went for the day with some other nannies. the town is on a river and there was a citadelle perchd ontop of a cliff, We had a guided tour in french and flemish so i didnt pick up too much of the history but it was fascinating as it was the site of many wars including the world wars. we entered one chamber that was bombed in world war 2 and as a result had sunk at a rather strange angle so everyone was leaning to one side trying not to fall over as they walked through the room. Dinant also has some grottes (caves) that we visited and fortunaty had a guided tour in english this time.

actually kath, the room didnt sink, but it s an imitation of how the west of flanders was with all the trenchholes, it had something to do with flooding as well though. I can't remember everything... damn...
