We arrived in Xalapa safe and sound after some of the most exhilerating/terrifying driving by our host Enrique. Over taking 5 cars at once on a bend being his signature move. Also katies favorite was when we over took a car that was in the middle of over taking itself, that right three cars a breast and a long line of of cars coming quickly towards us nail biting stuff. Just before we arrive at our destination we saw possible the longest train in the world coming down the mountain curling almost entirely back on itself and we still couldn´t see the end when the front had disappeared. We enjoyed speactacular views of the 2 volcanoes and the ever changing scenary.

This was our first night staying in a hostel so the end of luxury and free meals. We spent the next day exploring the city and its never ending shoe shops. each street seemed to be specific to a certain trade. mostly shoes tho. we ate the best meal yet- it was cuban- so the decision has been made we are going to cuba!

We were meant to go and see the place where Rina and Enrique were building their new house but  it didn´t work out so that is all we did.

They kindly took us to Puebla where we caught the bus to Oaxaca and we were alone with very little knowledge no guidebook and still no spanish...
