Lapa

the nightlife in rio is insane. Tonight we went to Lapa, which i guess is what you'd call the bar district. But it's more than bars, the whole street was a huge party. there was lots of music and vendors selling beers and food on the street, thousands of people milling around.... you didn't even need to go inside a club to meet people or dance.

We did anyway. And well....sat night was alot of fun. Ben and i went into the first club that seemed cool but really wasn't, but hey, the guy let us in for free. Still,  too much trance for my tastes. i never got around to it, but if you go to rio, check out 'carioca da gema,' supposed to be a great samba club.

We hung out at the club for a few beers then decided to leave. On our way out we saw a group of cute girls coming in and decided to stick around. Meeting those girls kind of turned our perception of the club around; we ended up hanging out there with those girls for like another three or 4 hours.
