I moved to São Paulo in July after graduating from college, hoping to get to know brazil better while living with some family and teaching english. I dropped the teaching gig in december, and i've been backpacking the country since.

Buzios

Buzios is not what it's cracked up to be. It's winter here, so it's the off-season. In other words, the beaches are pretty empty. And windy. Really really windy.

At least the food is OK.

Right now we're staying with my mom's friend. She has a house down here, so at least Ben and I aren't blowing a ton of money here.

I gotta say, kinda dissapointed thoguh. Before I came down here, I was talking with a bunch of Cariocas in DC, and they all told me Buzios aws cool as hell. Not so much. At least, not in August.

Also, the house we're staying in is setting off my allergies, so that might be tainting my perception of the place.
