Stockholm, Coffee and Chocolate a Nice Surprise

I was take by a friend to Chokladfabriken which combines the ultra modern cafe (of course this is still Sweden) with a view of the chocolates and cakes being made on site . For those with more time it has
workshops of chocolates tastings (yum).
I did a fair bit of chocolate tasting myself and they have some really wonderful combinations. I was totally torn between the chocolate lavender and their chocolate mints. Both tasted very pure and like the finest organic aromatherapy oils I have ever smelled.
They also have some Scandinavian flavors like cloudberries, lingonberries, licorice fudge decorated with sea salt (kind of an acquired tasted) .
Swedes like their coffee strong. And they like it with a cake or a cookie so much so, that there is even a word for having break for coffee and cake " fika. How civilized is that!
I also found another wonderful Swedish winter tradition of hot chocolate. Walking around the atmospheric old part of Stockholm called Gamla Stan. Nearly all of the cafes served a piping hot chocolate in big rustic mugs. Brillant at chasing away the winter chills or warming up some romantic conversation.
Thank u Stockholm for such a nice surprise.
