Alone in Paris

My friends and family thought it was incredibly brave of me to choose Paris as my destination for my first ever trip alone in Europe. Aside from the fact that I can barely get by with my basic French, I have chosen to wander by myself on a city notoriously known for love and romance. Did I regret it? Would I recommend it?
