KOSOVO - Ex Yugo
November 9, 2007
Anyways, this is first blog so i thought i would share a few photos of my experince in Kosovo. Worked here for 2years with the United Nations, and I must admit, the best time of my life. You get the responsibilty and budget you never get anywhere in the world, and at the same time you can make a difference and get paid alot ;) . I was involved with the Kosovo Police doing all ICT infrastructure/projects and administration.... no neeed to go into details...
Kosovo is near Greece 3hours, Bulgaria 4hours, on Serbian/Macedonian/Albanian border and near many eastern european countries which are much better to visit then large cities you get lost in and stuck with millions of people. So i did alot of traveling while there.
...And meeting and visiting local places, are just amazing and friendlly, expecially if you know the language. ;) The social life in Kosovo is amazing... hundreds of internationls, all young working and going out every night. Food is amazing there, and cheap (renaissance is best restaurant). There are many places to eat that are international oriented for us. As i explained this is the international lifestyle, the locals live much differnently. Amazing time, if anyone is traveling to Skopje through prishtina let me know, or any questions on Kosovo i will answer. Enjoy photos and if you ever thing of visiting eastern europe, dont hesitate. At the moment, Dec.2007 there might be some problems due to Kosovo proclaiming independance, so I would definitly wait till next year ;) . heads up.|
