Saigon - Nha Trang on Car

We came to Nha Trang by car to enjoy the long weekend (5 days holiday for liberation day, labor day and normal weekend sat-sunday). The trip usually took 8 hours (normal condition), but due to the long weekend, we got stuck for hours prior to leaving Saigon. So many motorcycles and cars and buses trying to leave the town at the same time. After 1 hour or so, we finally can go about 80km/hours.
On the way to Nha Trang, we passed Dong Nai, Mui Ne (Phan Thiet) and several other small towns. There was one accident, between motorbike and truck which I don't need to put into detail here. We stopped several times (on the 2nd hour, 4th hour and 7th hour for meals and toilet/cigarette break or whenever there was some spot to be captured by camera). The view was mostly rural town, country side (rice padi field, cows, duck, goat), then beach (when we started to reach Mui Ne and Phan Rang), rocky mountain and finally salt (when we started to be close to Nha Trang). The one where we passed salt, there was even a cemetery made out of salt because maybe all the sand are covered with them. So all white, every where is white - something like snow but not cold (hihi). My husband said...the body in the cemetery will probably be the same even after several years due to the salt.
We started the journey from Saigon at 9 am and we arrived in Nha Trang around 7 pm. Where we were then welcomed by the hotel and our tour guide and had a BBQ dinner in the hotel.
