The view from Mt Vic

After the early morning ferry trip, it was great to be in Wellington. It brought back lots of memeories for James as he used to live here in 2000. Fortunately we caught it on a good day. The sun was shining and it wasn't even windy. We met up with Aaron, Raewyn, Nick and China at a Cafe called Manhattan on Oriental Parade and had brunch outside in the sunshine. Stupidly, we forgot to take any photos.

In the afternoon, we walked along the waterfront and into town where there was a street circus and horse show, so we stopped to have a look around there for a while. Nick kindly invited us over to his house for a barbeque that evening and we ended up staying in his spare room. Nice not to have to sleep in the camper again.

The following day, Windy Wellington was back on form. We didn't do much apart from driving up to the Mount Victoria lookout for lunch in the van and then a quick vist to Te Papa museum. We stayed another night at Nick's and then got an early start for the drive to Napier.
