It's raining today. Not as we used to. But very hard with a lot of thunder. We didn't sleep to well because of it, but it was the first night that it wasn't that warm. So that's good. We decide to put on our raincoats and still go to the market. It's very busy at the market although it's raining. Family's arrive on mopets to do their grocery's. People from all kind of local tribe's come to the market. They wear the most colorfull costume's. You can precisely see who is belonging to which tribe. Most things you buy on this market are primary goods, so no souvenirs or so. We did a walk around the market. After that we went by motor taxi to some caves nearby Soppong. It's nice  to see those caves but I've seen better ones. I must say, the main cave with pre historical drawings was closed because of the raining season.

That cave was flooded. So we missed the main attraction. When we got back in town, the weather was clearing up. The sun came trought the clouds. We decided after we did some shopping to go for some hiking in the surroundings. We walked for several hours. Came through some Lisu (it's a local tribe) villages. Friendly people they are, but really make a mess of their own surroundings. They don't use dust-bins as the Thai do. They just throw it out of their houses and leave it for the pigs, chickens and dogs.

The air is exhausting today. Because of the rainfall, the air is very moisten. Up to 93%. It's like walking in a steambath. You can drink as much water as you like, it's coming straight out of your pore. We did a quick visit to a female monastery. It's a small one and men were not allowed.

So, I just couldn't leave my husband their waiting for me. The thai female monk's are dressed in white compare to the men who are dressed in orange.

Around 5 p.m. we went back to the guesthouse. We toke a nice Cappuccino and I updated my internet journal to our family.

The guesthouse has it's own restaurant with great food. The owner make everything herselves. It's very spicy but taste good. We hat some local dishes and some green curry. Yummy...  After dinner we hat a nice long conversation with owners about the King. It's nice to hear how they adore their King. We told them about our dutch royals and they knew them. They even got a poster with our queen and crown prince on it. It became a nice evening. The owner arranged a trip for us for the next day. It's ofcourse on our own request. Tomorrow we go Rafting. I really got no clue what to think of it, but it's a trip for full day. We will be picked up at 8.30 a.m.
