Oktoberfest!

What a crazy time! I hitch hiked there from Geneva and arrived a few days before I expected too. I wasn't able to get ahold of the person that I was supposed to stay with there, so the girl that I hitched with and I ended up sleeping on a roof. We wandered in on this place because it was a gated community with some nice cars in the parking lot. Looked safe enough to me. The weather wasn't bad so sleeping on the roof seemed like a nice idea. Well, the next day we found out that it was the roof of the psychiatric ward! I spent the next 10 days in a bit of a blurr, but it was overall a great time and I met a ton of amazing people. It surprised me that at Oktoberfest all the tents have German bands playing covers of crappy American songs. I guess it's allright because everyone knows the words. And they play the chorus over and over and over again, but that's ok because you can't remember all the words when you are wasted anyway. But even more strange was the amount of carnival rides at the festival. Didn't seem like a good idea to me to let a bunch of drunk people get on rides that spin your body in all sorts of different directions, crazy Germans! I definitely wasn't walking under the circular spinning swings after 3pm.
