My very last day in NYC. Goodbye NYC!

Friday October the 8th. That is the date printed in my One Way Ticket from New York JFK to Amsterdam Schiphol. This is it. Today is my last day in New York City and the US.
I spent a lot of time in the office saying goodbye to everyone. Then I spent at least an hour an a half at Time Warner Cable where I had to hand in my Cable and TV modem.
There were so many things that I had wanted to do today but it just was not possible. By the time I finished the cable stuff the sun had set and I had less than an hour before the taxi would pick me up at the APG Office. So, I made a last walk in my favorite Central Park and walked back to the office via Fifth Avenue and the Rockefeller Center. The 2014 Christmas tree had just arrived and was waiting to be decorated. My last picture taken in the US and NYC was of the Rockefeller Tower with the famous, but still naked, tree.
In the office I conducted a quick repack of my suitcases and dropped my Blackberry at the Service Desk's desk. The office was almost deserted. So it was the friendly Polish cleaning lady who waved me goodbye.
The Taxi was well in time. A luxury limousine style car with even darkened glass. It took me through the Queens Midtown Tunnel. So there was not even a Goodbye Manhattan moment. And in Queens the blinded windows prevented me from having a last look on the city. That moment came only while seated in the big KLM 747 taking off. I felt extremely sad.
Goodbye New York. Thanks for six great years!
