The ruins of Undercliff Bath House in Palisades Interstate Park

I, and my parents, were actually on our way to upstate New York. But, cheap as I am, I wanted to gas up in New Jersey. That is why I decided to drive the beautiful Henry Hudson Drive, which runs down below the steep Hudson cliffs, instead of the Palisades Interstate Parkway.
At some point we decided to briefly park the car en walk to a Hudson River viewpoint. This point accidentally turned out to be the Undercliff Picnic Area. Which is now a picnic area with a few visitors. A huge almost overgrown parking lot indicates that the area has a more busy history.
This became clear when we walked down to the river. Here is a rather big area of flat land en on it the remains of the Undercliff Bath House.
The beach is still here, but now with a nice grass lawn. And the bath house's foundations and some stairs are still here too. The only things still available like in the good old past are: the Hudson River en the great views on Manhattan.
