A new apartment!

Some blog posts back I reported I was looking for a place to live (see here). Well, that quest eventually resulted in a positive outcome. I went out with the realtor, which was assigned by my relocator, to have a viewing at my Top 1 apartment. It happened that another apartment was available in the building next to the building of this Top 1 apartment. It was so close that I asked the realtor if we could have a look there too. Not expecting too much from it.
Well, in the end this other apartment turned out to be really nice and after some thinking I decided to rent it. It is a very modern building (built in 2010) with very nice features like a modern kitchen, floor heating, a private parking spot in the basement, and even a nice view. The website (with pictures and a video) for the apartment is here.
The apartment is located in the City of Utrecht with a population of 328,000 the fourth largest city in the Netherlands. The most famous Utrechter is probably the cartoon rabbit "Miffy". Within Utrecht I live in one of the youngest boroughs of the city: Leidsche Rijn. Leidsche Rijn used to be just meadows, ponds, cows, greenhouses and farms. The land was, however, claimed by the city to expand. I did not like Leidsche Rijn at all. But, the site where I am living is quite OK. Not many flats stuffed together but very spacious. My apartment is actually standing inside a city park, which is a big meadow with sheep. A very small piece of the old landscape kept (more or less) in the original status.
Today I received the key to the apartment. Tomorrow will be a cleaning day. And the day after tomorrow the movers will arrive with my belongings.
