Manhattan Skyline Project

Earlier this year, when I was on Curaçao, I received an email of Adrianne. Adrianne is a former classmate from as far back as kindergarten and elementary school. She told me she needed some pictures of the skyline of Manhattan and was wondering if I had any good material for her.
Since I have had plans for a long time to make some nice Skyline pictures I decided to finally put some effort in it. And, I am finding out it is not that easy. If you want to do such a thing in the right way you have to be extremely lucky or really plan a photo session. The skyline of Manhattan is long and with its North-South orientation difficult to capture.
You may have noticed that almost all of my previous weblog entries have some kind of Skyline picture included. See here, here, here, and here. The last link points to my most recent visit to "Gantry Plaza State Park" in Queens. I was so impressed by the views from here that I decided to come back in the evening and also make some night shots. And that happened this evening. Unfortunately the park closes at 22:00 hrs and I was there at 22:15 of course. But even with the park closed, and despite the freezing temperatures I had to battle, I could still grab some nice pictures.
More pictures below! Deze fake-tekst heb ik toegevoegd om net iets meer regels te genereren zodat deze rare website toestaat dat de bijgesloten foto ook vertoond wordt.
