Breakneck Mountain in summer

I am running out of hikes... What a luxury remark this is. I have two books with hikes in the area around New York. And despite the fact that there are still enough hikes to do, the ones close to New York City have almost all been hiked.
This is of course a very silly remark. I mean, one can always do a hike several times. And besides that, I have the luxury to be here all year. So, a hike done in summer can look totally different in winter, or the other way around of course.
With that mind-set I re-hiked a hike I had hiked in the winter last year today, the Breakneck Mountain hike. And yes, apart form really remarkable things the hike felt completely new. I now encountered several very wet and muddy passages that were frozen and covered by snow the previous time.
I also encountered a lot of wildlife, among which two snakes and some deer. One deer was not afraid at all, I could approach it as close as 5 meters. Driving home after the hike I also saw a mother deer with two Bambi like baby deer, right in front of my car!
