just arrived to Barranco.
Manfred doesn’t like to plan all his activities during his travels. He prefers to do them spontaneously. Sorry, but he met the plan expert, hehe. When I was hanging out with Mike, we even made a list before leaving my house, haha. Anyway, last night I gave Manfred a list with things to do and see in downtown. Including directions and hours, haha. So organized! Manfred spent the whole morning in downtown and gave me a call when he was back in Miraflores. We met at 5pm and we would visit Barranco. But in order to make him having the whole Lima’s experience. We’d drive a bus. He has been around South America for quite a few weeks, so he knew what to expect.
quiet and nice Barranco
Usually I started my Barranco tour at the square and then go to the point view. But this time, we went first to the point view. Of course we were watching at the same sea we saw yesterday in Miraflores, but Barranco is so quiet and laid back. Manfred was enjoying it and was taking pics. I was also admiring the buildings and relaxed environment.

We were just talking and enjoying the view and it was getting dark. So it was time to keep on moving. Now, we’d go to the square, but we had to cross the “Sigh bridge” first. I told Manfred to close his eyes and make a wish. The view from the bridge was nice too. And while we were there, some school students came to me and asked me to take a pic of them and I asked them to take one of us later, haha, and so did Manfred. We were just walking around quiet Barranco and Manfred wanted to get a snack and a drink in the place we saw when we arrived: “La Posada del Angel” the bar full of angels, but they wouldn’t open until 7pm.

So we went to a supermarket to kill some time, hehe. I was showing him our veggies and fruits and he eyes were wide open when he saw all the different kind of potatoes. He just exclaimed: “Potato land!  My paradise!”

We went back to the eclectic angels’ bar. He really liked this bar, so full of mysticism. We arrived early and were the owners of the place, hehe. Manfred wanted to try the traditional Pisco Sour and I just had a juice - a good girl ;) For food he got a sandwich and I got a salad. All the salads have Angels’ names, hehe. Manfred was also enjoying the music they were playing. I think this was the right place. We were able to hang out for a while, enjoy a laid back and mystical atmosphere. He was telling me about how the travel bug affect people including us and his future travel plans.

ok, finally I'm gonna try the famous Pisco Sour...
Well, ideas, I was the planner, haha. It was around 9 pm, when we decided to leave. I was expecting a friend’s call, but he didn’t do it, mmm. Anyway, I asked Manfred what he would like to do later and he didn’t have any second thoughts: “Let’s go to your favorite bar!” haha. Another Tayta’s fan!

We arrived to Tayta and the manager recognized us, haha. Well, we were lucky to find a table - even though it was small. The place was getting crowded and there were some reservations. I asked for the promotions of the night and there were some drinks at reduced price - perfect! I got a Primavera (gin with orange juice and grenadine) and he got a Mojito. Actually we got 3 each of us, haha. We were just taking in easy and talking about our lives, music and funny stories, haha.

I think I need a refill, hehe
I was explaining him all the “Cosmopolitan” concept. By 11pm the place was packed. So it was time to go to the dance floor, haha. Manfred has been in Venezuela & Colombia, so he wanted to dance, haha. And so we did, but unfortunately I couldn’t stay too long. A friend (Romain: a local TB) was giving a good bye party the next day. And I have already confirmed I would attend to the party.

By the way, I also confirmed I wouldn’t go alone, haha. Manfred would join me and he would be welcome there! A new plan for a new day, hehe
