With my Scottish Travbuddies in Halloween

Jas, me and Bend. Night was starting

Jas & Bend. I met them through this site. We were in touch before they came to Peru and I told them we also celebrate Halloween here - so it will be fun.

The great thing about celebrating Halloween here is that Nov 1st is a religious Holiday, so you can party the 31st as long as you want and/or can without any problem, and so we did. I was supposed to meet them at the hostel, but the traffic was a chaos and I wasn't able to do it on time. Jas called me and we decided to meet in Miraflores, because I was thinking about going there to party. Finally we met in Miraflores and I decided to go to a nice bar/pub/disco called: El Tayta. I like the environment over there.

Before having beers, I wanted the guys to have Pisco Sours, but they had tried that before and didn't like it so much. Jas said it was too sour for him. So, I introduced them to the Maracuya Sour - a drink also made with pisco but instead of the lime, they use the Passion Fruit. This is my favorite drink with Pisco and it's always a success. I haven't met anyone who doesn't like this drink. ;)

I won't say who, but one of the guys told me he won't dance. After a few Maracuya Sours, nobody was able to stop him He was the dance floor's king :)

I had a blast with my new buddies and I'm pretty sure they enjoyed Lima!

Not just another bar
El Tayta is a good bar, perfect to start an evening out - or as we say here for "los previos". It's located in Larco, in front of the Central Park and City Hall. You have a great view from the park :)

They have good deals for different days. You can listen to good music, have a couple of drinks and spend a nice time. I love the environment of this small bar - always a party time!
They are open from Mo - Sun, from 6:00pm - the last customer leaves...
Recently they decided to open on Sunday, yay!!!

For start try a cocktail with Pisco and then keep on going with the beer. They will give you free snacks, a traditional one called: "Canchita", this is made with our big giant corn. Usually you have it also with cebiche, but they add a bit of spicy, :)
And once you are ready to dance you can go to other place or cross the door and go to the Yaya, which is the disco of the Tayta. The dance floor is open just on Friday and Saturday, but since they have live music daily, you can dance anyway, hehehe. At least I do so...

The staff is really friendly too. Sometimes they could be a bit slow, but since most of them know me, I can get a good table haha.

That's for sure, you will have fun over there. I go there often, and everytime I have a blast. You will notice it's becoming a TB's MUST too, haha. Now it's consider "My Place" haha
