My first travbuddies' - Lalie & Mario :)
Just a couple of days after joining this site, I met in real life my first travbuddies'. Mario and Lalie are a lovely couple from Montreal Canada who stopped in Lima in their way to Cusco and the south of Peru.
It was early and I was still in bed when I got a phone call. It was Mario. They just arrived to Lima, but there has been a change. They won't stay at the hotel we agreed to meet before. He gave me the new hotel and we agreed to meet that day at noon. I had time to go to the gym and take care about personal stuff and then I was ready to meet my first TB. I was so excited. It was the first time I was meeting somebody I met online, wow! I was so lucky about contacting them just on time before they came to Lima. So I was able to meet them when they arrived and could spend some time together, showing around my home town.
I picked them up from the hotel. We were in Miraflores, so we went to Larcomar - a nice mall in front of the sea - and have lunch there. It was a tasty peruvian buffet. We enjoyed a delicious lunch inlcuding the Pisco Sour. Then I showed them the surroundings, including the "Parque del Amor" (Love Park). After that we drove to Barranco. I wanted them to know another part of the city. The bohemian one ;)
I'm glad I could welcome them to Peru :)
I had a blast with them and can't wait to visit them in Montreal - hopefully sooner than later!

Mango's is a nice Restaurant. I recommend the lunch buffette. So, you will be able to try different peruvian dishes - appetizers, entrees and desserts. Ask for a Pisco Sour or a Cocktail with Pisco at first.
With the food you can either have a soda (ask for Inca Kola - a peruvian one) or beer (my favorite is Cuzquena).
The environment is really nice and the service is good. Also Larcomar and Miraflores are cool places.
