This is not a blog about my trips. This is about the people I met in real life through this page. I want to have an endless blog, lot of vouches, which means I helped people knowing my country and made friends. I enjoyed writting this blog and hope you enjoy reading it too. Smile always :)

A Mini Meet Up on Monday, best way to start the week ;)

just arrived haha

After a busy & fun weekend, I stayed quiet at home on Sunday. But not for long, haha.

On Monday I have classes, but it didn’t stop the TB Mini Meet Up! Jim was still in Lima and last time we were talking about going to my favorite bar. He wanted to know that place, hehe. We haven’t talked during the whole day, so I wasn’t sure if we would meet or not later that day. Anyway, he gave me a call and I was just leaving the institute. He was also staying nearby, so we agreed to meet and go to the “Tayta”.

At the beginning, I was afraid it wasn’t open.

It looked quiet, but it was open ;) As usual I asked which were the promotions for the night and the waiter told me they have certain drinks “on sale”. Jim and I ordered a Lime Daiquiri for him and a Mucha (a sweet one with vodka) for me. While we were waiting for our drinks, Jim was telling me about his day and that he moved to a friend’s place instead of staying in the hostel. His friend also borrowed him a cell phone, so now he’s communicated yeah!!! So my present was the perfect one: a pijama for his cell phone, haha. I’m glad he’s enjoying Lima and has been able to meet very nice people.

Ok, our drinks arrived and the night was getting started. Jim was a bit sad that the Chicago Meet Up will take place, while he’s far away from home. So, if he can’t attend to the Meet Up, the Meet Up would come to him, haha.

yummy Paisano!!! wasn't it? actually we all tried it
I called Nelly and Romain, other TB’s from Lima. Both were happy about the idea of meeting with Jim and agreed to join us :) . I have met them both before, but it would be Nelly’s first time at my favorite place, haha.

Jim and I were having our second drinks - this time a Mojito for him and a Maracuya’s Daiquiri for me (this one is one of my favorites now, hehe good discover!) when Nelly arrived and a couple of minutes later Romain joined us. Although it was Monday, the place was getting full - of course not as full as during weekends. The performer from Monday’s nights was very good. So we didn’t only enjoy tasty drinks, but also listened to good music. Nelly and I have already met Jim, but it was Romain’s first time. We had a blast there. I was thinking about staying there just for a couple of hours, leaving before midnight - like Cinderella haha! But it was so fun, that I couldn’t leave, I even had my books with me haha.

ok, someone might want to kill me after posting this pic, sorry! I owe that to the blog, haha
We were just chatting and hanging out. We were talking about everything and nobody was thinking about the time.

Suddenly Romain said it would be better, if he left because he had to go to work early next morning, mmm. I managed to convince him to stay just for 1 more beer. By that time we had already 2 cocktails and 1 beer each - except Nelly ;) Well, I have to be honest, it wasn’t difficult to convince Romain to stay for another drink haha. We kept on having fun when we realized it was 2:30am and it was time to leave. While we were leaving, the administrator of the bar approached to me as usual to say good bye and he asked me if I work as a travel guide, haha. First time, I have been asked about that, maybe he asked it because I'm always bringing TB's there haha. Who's gonna be the next??

yadilitta says:
really? no maracuya for boys, mmm. Well, here it's not like that, but in the rainforest they will recommend the boys not to eat / drink much aguaje. A tropical fruit, hehe. An Austin Meet Up sounds great!! Let me know when are you planning to do it!!!

So how's the maracuya? I remember drinking that in Belize, but someone told me that in other parts of Latin America it is only for girls and I shouldn't drink it. So? En Peru, que va?
I see Nelly, I remember her from random TB encounters. She's nice!
Lucky girl! Well, now I'm gonna be lucky, too, because I'm organizing a small meet-up of Austinites on the 27th. I'm excited!
