first night in Lima :)
Mike & I have been in touch since some time ago. He gave me some tips for my Buenos Aires’ trip and suddenly he told me he was thinking about coming to Peru and visit Machu Picchu. I helped him as much as possible sending him some info, which was helpful, yeah!

It was Saturday and I was at home when I got a message from Mike, just saying he was in Lima, how cool!!! I gave him a call to his hotel and we agreed to meet that day later for something to eat and a couple of drinks. Right after talking to him, I called to the restaurant and made a reservation, hehe. I picked him up from the hotel at 8pm and we drove to Larcomar. He was waiting for me at the lobby. The minute I saw him, I recognized him and I think that we both exclaimed at same time: Finally!!! Haha.

what are you giving me Yadi???
We both felt as if we met since a long time ago. But it wasn’t all; he had a present for me, how sweet!!! There were some chocolates he brought from Japan, so yummy!!!!

Our reservation was for 8:30pm and we had some time; so we decided to take a walk around and I showed him a bit about Miraflores. This mall has a killer view of the city and the location is so unique!!!

We got a nice table in the terrace and since we were in Peru we had Piscos, haha. The regular Pisco Sour for Mike and the Maracauya Sour for me. To eat we ordered a platter with Peruvian appetizers, really tasty! And Mike tried the Anticuchos (cow heart, haha). In the past 13 months, he has been 3 times in South America, how impressive! Specially because the flight from Singapore to South America is so long…

This time he stopped in the States for a couple of days, in Vegas to be exact.

Yadi & Mike: first piscos in Lima!
There he met Sal, Mell and RJ, how cool!!! I have already met them in KC Meet Up, so we have friends in common. Actually Sal asked him to have a drink for him in Lima, haha. Mike told me, how much fun they had there. I also have some friends in Philipines and he knows them, wow! It felt so good talking about common friends. I can hardly wait to visit Philipines and all the gang there! Also he knows some of the people who are coming for the Meet Up! Yeah!!! And he said something really sweet, that Meeting Yadi in Lima was a must, how sweet!!!!

Mike has been in all the continents. You are so lucky!!! He was telling me about his past travels and future plans. We were hanging out and chatting. I had a great time with Mike. It was so cool being able to talk about common friends, common places (we both have been in Buenos Aires, and loved it!) besides sharing experiences and ideas.

with my sweet gift!!!!
He told me he’s planning attending the NYE Meet Up. This NYE Meet Up is in my mind, but I’m still wasn’t sure. And right now I’m meeting more and more people who are attending it. So I guess this is a sign for me to try as hard as possible to go to Amsterdam ;)

Mike arrived to Lima at 2am and took a tour from 2pm  - 7pm. By 11:30pm he was feeling tired, so we decided to leave. For Sunday I was planning meeting Rowan - a Scottish TB - for lunch. Mmm, I got a nice idea, why don’t have an intercontinental Mini Meet Up? I asked Mike if he had plans for Sunday and he just told me he had to do some shopping before going to Cusco and do the trail  + he had birthday, what!?! Is he gonna spend Birthday in Peru? That’s so great! We had a plan for tomorrow…
