our last Inca Kola's, new friends: Yadi & Mike

One thing we both were sure about was the fact we want to meet before he leaves the country. I would be busy at work but I would make some free time for my new friend and I could squeeze a long lunch, hehe. I gave him a call to reconfirm it and we had a plan. I picked him up at 1pm. It was a bit cloudy, but being with a friend made things nicer even though the weather wasn’t the greatest. Haha, same as me, Mike was in the mood for a salad. Peruvian Cuisine is very tasty, but he had been eating much recently and wanted something light, haha.

Although we have already visited this place, we drove to San Antonio, since they have great salads. The place was packed, but we were lucky and found the perfect parking spot. Good people have good luck! Although we had to wait for a table, it wasn’t for long. Also our salads were delicious. I got a veggie one and he got a fruit salad. And what about drinks? Well, it was his last lunch in Peru, so no doubts about it: Inca Kola for both of us!!!

We were just hanging out and chatting. He was telling me his impressions about Peru. He told me he heard about another Inca City, but he couldn’t remember the name: “Choque something…” I knew it: “Choquequirao!” yes, this is in highlands too. I told Mike I want to visit it soon and he made me promise to do it and send him pics, maybe he’d come back to visit it, haha.He was just telling me about his plans for home. He’ll be following his football team during the season – how cool!!! Before coming to Peru, he was thinking about coming with his son, but at the end it didn’t work. It’d have been a great father – son time, but he still had a blast here, hehe.

After lunch I left him in the Indian Market. He had to buy some presents and I had to go back to work. It was a short Meet Up, but as I always say: Quality over Quantity ;) He invited me to visit him in Oregon. He said it would be his turn to be the host, haha. Definitely I’ll be in touch with him who knows when I’ll be in that part of the country.
