Denver, CO - Day 2
November 3, 2007
Morning - Ate breakfast at Toast in Littleton. Very good food for those with a sweet tooth!
Afternoon - Went on Coor's Brewery Tour in Golden, CO. Free tour and free beer. Good deal. Worth the drive. Then we ate lunch in downtown Golden at Blue Canyon Bar and Grill. Food was average, the local beer was good. http://www.bluecanyonbarandgrill.com/
Evening - Went to downtown Denver and walked the 16th street mall and lower downtown area.

The 16th St. Mall is a section of downtown Denver where the street is closed to cars. Many of the building are interesting, but for the most part it is filled with generic stores (Ross, CVS Pharmacy, Barnes & Noble, your typical generic tourist store filled with Denver t-shirts and shot glasses). There are also free buses that run up and down the promenade. Worth the walk and views, especially if you plan on going downtown.
Capital builing - if you walk ju…

According to the Denver visitor guide, LoDo has the largest concentration of Victorian and turn-of-the-century buildings in the nation. It is definitely worth a walk around and browsing in all the little stores, art galleries, etc. We ate at they Wynkoop brewery, which was very good. Coor's field, home of the Rockies, is right there also.
