Today saw us taking a trip to Crystal Palace in South London to see my cousin and meet her little boy. Back in July my cousin, Karen, gave birth to her little boy Oscar, who we were able to meet for the first time today. It was also a chance for them to get to meet Ezri-May, who is 11 days older than Oscar!! We left home just after 8am and went to collect my mum. We expected her to be ready when we got to her house but she still had to get washed and dressed - she hadn't noticed the time!!!
Well we continued our journey just after 9am and set off for Crystal Palace. I had turned to SATNAV on as my cousin had recently moved and we did not know where exactly her new house was.
It was really good seeing my cousin again. We don't see each other very often, generally only Christmas, so we had some catching up to do. We introduced our new child to each other!! We then decided to take all the children to the park.
Crystal Palace park is next to the Crystal Palace Athletics track, where international events are often held. In the park there are some very large dinasours - which Sam thought were fantastic. We then made our way to the swing and slides. Sam kept himself amussed for sometime, before we decided it was time to go back for lunch.
When we got home my cousin put lunch on, pizza and garlic bread - very nice. After lunch we had a nice chat, while the babies fed and had a sleep!! Then just after 4pm we made a move to come home.
The drive home was a lot slower. Mainly due to London rush hour traffic. The journey home to nearly 2 1/2 hours, luckly Ezri and Sam slept for most of it!! I dropped my mum off and then went to the local chip shop to get tea. It was then finally home to see Pete, who had had to go to work for the day, and eat tea.
