Angkor Wat
November 29, 2007
Today I would see the temples I had come so far to see. I rented a tuk tuk for $15 for the entire day to drive me around. His name was ToeLa. First I said take me to Angkor Wat temple. If I was going to be templed out again, I'd like it not to be there. For there were so many others to see all day. Along the way I was fortunate to see monkeys on the side of the road I could feed bananas to. Naturally there were kids there selling the bananas. Can't say I've done that before. I have to admit I was a little worried that I'd get scratched and have to get a rushed rabies shot. No worries. I did okay.
By 3pm I was templed out.
Went to use the internet to get some work done.
Naturally the electricity went out right in the middle of my work.
So I left. Went back to the hotel, had half a bottle of wine and had teh tuk tuk driver pick me up by 7pm to drive me to dinner. This I was getting used to.
Dinner was great!
A buffet of all kinds of stuff. I tried everything. There was also a traditional Cambodian show going on while we ate. At this point I was kinda wishing I had been traveling with some people to appreciate all this with me.
