Bahay Kubo Ni Capt
As for me, a good vacation should have exciting activities, people you enjoy traveling with (wet blankets not allowed), some appetizing eats, and an accommodation with welcoming crew and scenic views. Thanks to bahay Kubo Ni Capt for providing me atleast the last item. Built in 2000, the resort based its name from Bahay Kubo, the Filipino term for Nipa Hut, Philippine's national house which is primarily constructed out of bamboo tied together. Nipa Hut is considered as one of the Philippines' cozy and pleasurable places to relax. The Capt. being refered is the owner himself, Capt. Ricohermoso, a retired ship captain.
He told us that he had no doubts of owning the property as he fell inlove with the scenic view of Taal lake and Taal Volcano.
What is interesting about the resort is that the actual look of the house forms a cruise ship made of bamboo materials. It's got 7 cozy rooms, each with twin size bed and facility for an extra bed. The furnitures were clearly chosen to match with the house's brown motif. At night, it is perfectly relaxing to stay in the jacuzzi and swimming pool.
The resort also has a veranda standing by the lake where visitors can enjoy videoke. This is where we spent the night away with some grilled pood and sea foods and lotsa lotsa beer and champagne.
