Leiden Centraal Station, the tour meeting point. Check out all the bicycles in front.
A short walk down the Damrak, in the right direction to Centraal Station and board the train to Leiden for the meet up.  Short and uneventful, Leiden was not far away.  A nice, modern train station and obviously bike station as well, with hundreds of bicycles parked just out front.

Finding Norma Lou, the bike group gathered one by one until we were all there and the tour leaders as well.  Boarding the tour bus, we took a tour of Leiden for some historical perspective.  Near the city center is a square of townhomes where the Pilgrims lived and worked and made their plans to head off to the new world, via England.  It's a spiritual thing to reach back four hundred years and touch the ground where the essence of liberties were fomented.  Next a tour of an ancient windmill then off to our hotel, De Witte Raaf, in Noordwijk.

A short rest and then our first bike ride of our tour.  The weather had been unseasonably cool and being the southern boy that I am, I wasn't prepared.  Back to the hotel, a hot shower, a premium feast and a good nights sleep.
