Hey everybody, sorry for not keeping you updated, but we´ve been busy.
During this week we travel to 5 places, had to file a missin person report, adopted a 10 year old girl and a puppy for a day, and had to leave town in a hurry for fear of being acussed of child kidnapping.
But I´m getting ahead of myself. Everything will be explained in the next entries, so keep reading!
Karissa and John arrived at Guatemala City at 11:30AM. After picking them up at the airport we went to have lunch at the Portal del Angel restaurant. The place is stakehous on a hill overlooking the city. THe view is gorgeous and the food is awesome!
We ordered Lomito and Puyzao which are Tenderloin (without and with fat) and it was served with corn, black beans, guacamole and tortillas.
After that we headed to Antigua.
Christian and Oralia arrived from Tikal at 7:40pm and Mike and Bridget landed at 7:55pm, so the timing was perfect.
We headed back to Antigua where we met with the rest of the group for dinner at Casa Santo Domingo. This place used to be a convent and was renovated to be a hotel. THe place was illuminated with candles and we had a quiet and romantic dinner.
We didn´t have any drinks because of a small miscalculation on my part. It turned out that the next day was election day in Guatemala so there was a liquor ban in effect. We were a little bummed out so we decided to call it a day since we had to leave early next day anyway.
