Today was Sue and Rob's 20th Wedding Anniversary.
After our long trip to the zoo yesturday we decided that we would drive to the Model Village. Well nobody really knew the way, except that it was somewhere near the zoo. So off we set in convoy - I was to follow Rob as he had some vague idea where it was. So off we went, and only took 1 wrong turning when we actually saw a sign, but was in the wrong lane so could not follow it. But not long later we arrived at the Model Village.
The Model Village was great fun and we spent along time looking at all the different models that had been built. To help us around the village we had a quiz to follow and answer questions, while the children had to spot 10 moles (for a bag of sweets!).
It was after the model village that we dicided we might need to get a new memory card for the camara, as Pete was determined to fill the current one up!! So a quick trip to Staples on the way home was needed. Then Rob popped into Morrisons to pickup some food for lunch and back the the flats for sandwiches.
In the afternoon we went back into Blackpool for some more shopping. The best shop was 'The Who' and yes it sold loads of Dr Who stuff as well as lots of other Scifi stuff - Sam in Pete were in their own little piece of heaven.
After that we went to queue for our tea!! The plan was to eat at the famous Harry Ramsdens, after queuing for over an hour to eat in the resturant we gave up and queued for a further 1/2 hour for take away to eat on the sea front. I have to say I was very dissapointed and unimpressed with the meal. I wont be queuing again there!!
Our next stop was Sue and Rob's anniversary treat, a private Tram ride along the illuminations. They had hired a tram for us all to see the illuminations. It was fantastic. The 8 of us had the tram to ourseleves with just the driver and a conductor. We had taken champange, strawberries and cake and ate and drank as we looked at the illuminations.
Have the tram ride we went to see the Thunderbird 3 model, so Sam could have his photo taken with it!!
Them home - Pete, Sue and I then played cards and this time Sue won.
Today was a great day and one I know will not be repeated for a very long time!!
