The next day I was on a train back to Rome on my own. Slightly scary experience as I don't have the best track record on my own on public transport. But it worked fine even with rain as I pulled out of the station. So six hours later I got to Rome and nearly hit the guy opposite with my backpack when I pulled it off the rack. I booked into a hostel for the night again a first but the nice German girls also in the room set my mind at rest. I went out to get dinner very nice lasagne and headed back to the hostel where the no air conditioning nearly killed us before we worked out how to use it.
The next day I had to be up early to get my plane so I'm not entirely sure I checked out of the hotel the woman wasn't around but she'd taken my key the night before so I wasn't sure. I got the bus to the train station, a train to the airport, and a bus to the actual airport which worried me when it started following the signs to the other airport. But I got there in the end and got my plane. Spent the next three hours talking to a guy from an hour away from me. Got to Belfast to discover my sister who had had major back surgery less than four weeks ago had come to the airport to meet me. Got to go back home and see my puppy which I was very glad about and get ready for uni in september
