3 Weeks In...

Time has flown by! We are in our last week of our UGA classes. Jordan, Amy, and I had a group presentation today in our French literature class on Flaubert's correspondances (his letters) written shortly after the publication of Madame Bovary (which we just finished reading last week). I did like Madame Bovary, though it is not exactly a happy book. In fact, it is one of the more depressing ones out there. (STILL better than Faulkner, though.)
In other news, I had a very enjoyable visit yesterday from a certain person who took the train down from Paris just for the day! ;) A wonderfully happy surprise, I must say~!
Finally, a fun anecdote: The other night before dinner, I told M. Dumond about my schedule after leaving France, and how I only have 2 days in between the time I go home and have to go back to Athens to University. He said, "oh, vraiment? C'est tres vite!" ("oh really? That's fast!)...I agreed, and then we moved onto talking about other things. Later, at dinner, he mentioned to Mme Dumond that I was going to Greece in August. I am? That, of course, is news to me!!! I was extremely confused until I realized that he was thinking, of course, Athens Greece not Athens, Georgia! So I explained that there exists another Athens, home of the Bulldawgs, and we all had a good laugh at the mix-up!
