The next morning we went to the Wadi Rum desert. One of the most beautiful deserts I have ever seen, although the Sahara in Egypt also is great. What was great in hour journey, is that we would spent the night in this desert! Not a hotel, but in simple tents with the Bedouins. It is a fantastic experience.
First we went in the desert with the Bedouins in there Jeeps. A long trip of 4 hours, to see and taste this wonder of nature of jordan. This desert is also famous because of the Lawrence of Arabia revolt about 100 years ago, when he crossed this desert and captured Aqaba. Even the movie was shot there. The desert is wonderfull! The hours went by. After taking hundred of photo's we went back to our tents to watch the sunset. We took a little trip by Camels (I was not a great driver I must say), and the Bedouins gave us a great spot to watch the sunset. After that we eat together with the Bedouins, they cook there meals under the sand! Spending the night there is great, you can see the hundred of Stars by the camp fire. Luckely someone had brought some alcohol, so it was a great night with not much sleep!
